| " In a manufacturing process the idea would be to make the chair with a frame in copper-plated steel and a seat covered with Oregon pine veneer. The chair is stackable at 20 mm and could be upholstered. | "This line of moulded beech plywood chairs is the result of more than 30 years of exploration of the optimum simplicity in a chair, unifying space with the article of furniture. Voxia is furniture that is present without being irksome. The beech is sourced from a sustainably managed forest close to the production plant. Because of the planned veneer pattern, the cut-away wood waste is minimal. The back, seat and legs are produced and combined in one continuous process. Thin, three dimensional, curved surfaces replace the traditionally large consumption of materials and energy in production. The nxt was the first chair in the line. It is stackable and has a very pure, restrained but graphical form The eco is a single piece of beech plywood folded three times at near right angles, with slits cut to form thin back legs. It has a comfortable, slightly springy feel and is impressively easy to stack. (iF Ecology Design Award 2000, best of category). The oto lounge chair is at once a sculpture and a comfortable, resilient lounge seat. | Stool type, where legs have found their form in the ancient Greek Klismos chair and where the seat is clearly inspired by the Egyptian stool found in the pyramid of Tut Ank Hamon. The double curvature of the seat can be manufactured by laminating if a small space separates the single curves of seats surfaces. Ash is suitable for laminating and is an old Danish species of wood.
