| "If one were to remove the figure from Thorvaldsen´s sculptures, in many cases one would be left with a pedestal and a draped fabric that anonymously but effectively defined the character of the portrayed person. I have sought to give the pedestal and the fabric their own justification and ended up with a storage box and a blanket, each in their way serving a practical purpose: storage and warmth.
