    "63 is a side table constructed of aluminium shavings, which are a waste product from large-scale machining operations. The porous metal waste is compressed into briquettes in a metal shavings press to reduce the volume before the scrap metal is transported to the melting foundry. The column is made of 63 of these briquettes, upcycling the aluminium and giving it a new lease on life. Aluminium is one of the most resourceintensive metals to extract. On the other hand, it takes less energy to recycle than most other metals. We thus preserved the aluminium in its pure state so it can be melted down and reused. At the centre of table is a unique hollow space that is glimpsed through the glass tabletop.     "The Phoenix tables explore a way to change people’s perception of waste. The tables are made of 100% recycled plastic and seek to create a product from the ‘ashes’ of an average person’s consumptions. A key priority in the design was to minimize the use of materials. The chair is made of 25 mm ash poles with a canvas seat.
